Absolutely No Hope

I changed my short term insurance company during the month of June and stopped my debit order in favour of Standard Bank Insurance via internet banking. I cancelled another policy at this time, that debit order was returned. I telephoned SBIB and advised them that I am cancelling my debit order and policy, they advised that I am not allowed to do so (this is my home owners policy), I explained that I do not have a bond and if I want to switch insurance companies, I am entitled to do so. I took the matter up with the Standard Bank Private Banker. During month end July, my premium was debited again (despite me stopping the debit order again via internet banking). I contacted SBIS once again and after holding on for 35 minutes and getting shunted from pillar to post, I spoke to a supervisor. I was advised that it is ******* to stop payment on a debit order, I explained that I do not have a bond, I can understand the situation if my property is bonded to a Financial Institution and after a squabble on the phone, they want proof that I am insured with another broker. I took this matter up again with the Private Banker and despite my efforts, I have been waiting for over six weeks now for resolution. I fork out R325.00 a month for banking services and get treated like this? I want my refunds back...
