Standard Bank Home Loan Dismal Service

Standard Bank has absolutely disgusting customer service. I have a claim due to a storm where my carport was damaged on the 6th of January 2023. It took them a week to get a service provider out and that too with no communication of what is happening whatsoever. Thereafter there was absolutely no commincation on what was happening, I had to continue to call to get information. They then said 2 weeks later that they will get a new service provider to do the assessment and replacement of the net of the carport. I then receive zero feedback. I now call 3 weeks later only to hear that "its seems that the claim is rejected as you should be able to fix the 2 meter cut on the carport yourself". This is absolutely disappointing and dismal service

Do not use Standard bank for you home loan, rather pay a slightly increased interest rate and know that you are in good hand with another bank

I have been with Standard bank for 15 years and now trying to move to another bank as their service is clearly declining over the years
