Standard Bank Home Insurance. Beware the pitfalls

I have been with Standard Bank Homeloan Insurance for 15 years.

I made the odd claim here and there with regards to a geyser and burst shower pipe. On the 17th February 2023 there was a burst pipe underneath the paving in the driveway, outside the garage. It has taken me to this date to try and get it sorted. I have mailed them reports, quotes and pictures. I have to ring them every time. Even if they make notes on the account, nothing happens. It is almost a month to the day and yet, they do not get back or help me get this issue sorted. In the meantime it rains more and more and I am really worried about more damage.

It looks like, it is just emails, with no personal service. I guess the old saying about insurance being grudge purchase until you really need it is true. Certainly with Standard Bank. Where are they when I have paid for many years and now I need them for a claim that is not even that big?
