Stadium Fast Foods- Currie Avenue
I am writing this as a troubled customer of the business for years.
On Saturday evening of 7 June 2025 at 18:30 I placed an order via Call & Collect at Curie Avenue Stadium Fast foods for collection within 15min. The order was a Royal Meal (Peri-Peri flavour, cut into 8 pieces and Medium crispies x2). When I dished up at home, the chicken was BBQ flavoured and i called the store at 19:25 to inform them of the mistake. The manager that evening, asked if it was possible to return the order that evening, to which i told her I couldn’t. She asked if I could come the following day, to which I asked if I should return the food the following day; she said no need to, she apologised for the error and said if possible i should come the following day at my convenience to get the correct chicken order.
On Sunday 8 June around 17:13, I visited the restaurant and informed the cashier of the incident and that I was asked to come in today for the correction. The lady who handed my order to me (she later identified herself as Lerato, the manager), said that next time my order is not done correctly, I must return the order so that it is corrected and they will also offer Stadium vouchers, the person I spoke to the previous evening did not explain the procedure correctly and that next time I must let them know, return the food for correction and receive vouchers.
The way she explained was as if I had not done the right thing and the tone was also condescending. I honestly still don’t understand what she meant, because I called as soon as i saw the order was not correct, I asked if I should return the food the following day, I visited the store for the correction… so what is it that I did wrong? She (Lerato) needs to speak to people correctly, like she values our business, not like people whom need a scolding and half minded. Her “I don’t care” facial expressions, her not acknowledging she was wrong by how she address me, even when my husband tried to make her aware of it, her sighing while we give her our side if the story. Even if she is doing us a favour by assisting us as clients to the business, she should not make us feel it, we know it is her father’s restaurant, but do not make us feel it as paying customers. Her behaviour and how she address customers is uncalled for. Even the staff was the verge of laughing at us, they just had the decency not to do it in our faces.
