Official Statement from Stable View Venue

Unfortunately, the incident did occur at Stable View Venue. It’s deeply disappointing when individuals breach the trust placed in them. However, from our side as the venue, we acted swiftly and decisively.

Thanks to our on-site security cameras, the perpetrator was caught red-handed. Immediate action was taken in collaboration with the bride and groom, Kobus and Chante, as well as a few remaining guests who were still present at the venue. The individual was escorted off the property by our security team and handed over to the police. He was also dismissed from his job with immediate effect.

Kobus, Chante, and several of their guests witnessed the incident and the actions that followed. In response to the unfortunate event, Stable View Venue reimbursed the couple for any damages. We also offered them and their remaining guests an additional night’s stay at the venue—free of charge—and catered for them at no extra cost.

I, Twané Viljoen, owner of Stable View Venue, spent most of Sunday with the couple as the matter was being addressed. The owner of the premises was also present throughout the day, underscoring how seriously we took this situation.

After discussing everything with the couple and the guests involved, they expressed their sincere appreciation for how we handled things. They were once again impressed by the level of service we provided.

It is unfortunate that the guests who wrote a negative review had already left before any of these actions took place, and were therefore not aware of how the situation was resolved.
