Stay away from STA Travel Morningside

The worst experience ever! Wasted so much money. Imcompetence at its best!!!

In short: 1. Visited their Morningside branch on a Friday. Booked our honeymoon flights and accomodation. The ‘travel expert’ as they call themselves made a copy of my passport.

2. He booked and confirmed the entire trip on the Monday. We paid the trip in full on the Monday and sent POP.

3. Later (at check in) we discovered my passport is expired. Granted , I should check, but surely a travel expert should check this first before booking and confirming our holiday?

4. We also requested a third seat (for comfort) to be booked- they insisted they can not do this, I should book the third seat myself. I stressed the fact that ALL other agencies have always booked our 3rd seat for us but they refused.

5. Guess what!!! At OR Tambo in the office of the airline, they inform us the travel agency should do this as they have no control over connecting flights and return flights to secure our third seat.

An uphill battle of note Paid major commissions to STA TRavel to eliminate stress and frustration but they are the only source of my stress!!!

On top of it all, they take no responsibility, they are rude when trying to resolve, extremely unhelpful. They don’t respond to mails , only after pressure is app**** by means of constant follow up and reminders.

Please get out of the service industry!!!!!
