NEVER use STA, unless you expect to be treated like a hobo overseas!!!

Absolutely shocking! If i could use the freedom to speak in my choice of words it would show how furious I am. We ( my fiance now) booked our holiday a year in advance to Thailand. All good. We were dealing with Claudia from the Cresta branch. All good. There were many hiccups along the way but we figured we still had time to fix them. We fully paid for our holiday a few months in advance. When I requested for the final invoice/statement showing that we dont owe anything, this was a mission. Emails back and forth. Phones calls just never to get returned.Anyways. We leave for our holiday. No call from the agent to wish us a safe flight. No check up if we arrived safefly and if our accommodation was alright. So our first destination was amazing. No faults there. Our second destination to the Deevana Resort in Patong... My word... I wouldnt stay there if my life was about to end. The staff are rude! They speak low of STA ( my "agent"). They refuse to help you. To get to your room you have to go through the back alley where they clear the *******. ****** wrappers on the lawn left for 3 days ( after having complaining the 1st day). Rooms are noisey. When asked to move, you get shown a room right by the entrance. Oh best part... thats an UPGRADE, same room type, same size,just a more noisy location, but its an upgrade. The Manager of the Branch Wynand was of no help when we asked to be moved to another hotel i was TOLD this would be for our own account. When asked to meet him on our return he has never reverted to meet. Been back almost a week. Not once did they check if we arrived safely or feedback on our holiday. I made it very clear that we didnt want a FREE holiday, just a level of service that we PAID for. I WILL never use STA ever again and have relayed this message to my friends and family who are planing travelling. If onlyni was able to post the pictures of the place where we stayed which I did to STA and they have the audacity to neglect us or our cries!!! I will escalate this matter as far and wide as possible!
