Mass Tourism caused for lack of info and support

<p>If you want real support and an agency that will keep you up to date with what you need for a tour...THIS is not the agency for you.</p> <p>We booked a tour to Argentina and booked a package deal including insurance with Sta Travel. We also did a whole deal of research on everything from drinking water, do's and dont and visas etc. Never once did the topic of yellow fever vaccination requirement come up. So we get to the airport to return to South Africa and we were denied boarding as we did not have a certificate to confirm yellow fever vaccinations. We were stranded in Sao Paulo. Never ONCE did Kyra say we need a vaccination - we even checked out their site about Argentina and NOTHING appears on there. We are so disappointed. Naturally we would have gotten the jab, had we known. Ofcourse STA now say it was our responsibility to check - but not hearing of anything beforehand or seeing anything online - how do we ask questions if we have no idea? I travel the world and my other travel agent ALWAYS tell me all requirements of where I am going. Really...And they arent really bothered to be of much assistance to help recover any losses. </p> <p> </p> <p>My feeling is that they are out there to push mass deals and sales and quite frankly, they lose the personal touch and the real support that you seriously need when you are knee deep as we are.</p> <p> </p> <p>So their deals might look good, but once bitten, twice shy. Stay away!</p>
