honeymoon gone wrong! thank you STA

This is an email I sent to STA... no response! Good day

I would like to send through feedback on the recent trip we booked through STA.

The consultant who assisted me, Melissa Birch.. Extremely pleasant and friendly, arranged my honeymoon in the phillipines.

I am terribly disappointing though in how little effort was placed in to this planning as we were situated in the most dangerous part of Manila on the 1st day as well as our last.

Not only the most dangerous, also an 1 hour drive from the airport which made it extremely inconvenient for travelling purposes because we landed our first night after 8pm... got to our hotel after 9 and considering that there restaurant in the hotel close at 10:30 pm, we were unable to eat, and did not want to walk outside because we were advised about the theft!

The next morning's flight was schedule for around 8am... again had to the hotel by 5 am and could not have breakfast...

This happened on our first night as I mentioned and also our last. for the rest of our honeymoon we were in Ca***an De Oro as we wanted to be close to seven seas... however we were not advised that any other places or activities we wanted to do would be a 4 hour travelling time from where we stayed! Our room was disgusting!! we had to upgrade and pay additional fees for a cleaner and bigger room... I am beyond frustrated and do not appreciate spending so much money and that the consultants at STA cannot even do a bit of research before booking there clients trips.

This email will be shared on my social media sites as well as Hello Peter, because this was my honeymoon and we were foreigners, to place us in a hotel where we have to take off all our jewelry and leave belongings in room before going outside is the most scariest experience ever! especially in a foreign country.

I understand I gave her a budget, but if she actually cared about her clients she could have gone the extra mile and called us to say that your budget allows you to stay here however this area has the highest crime rate, so consider paying a bit more for more security...

I would have gladly increased my budget.

I will never be using STA again, I have seen many reviews online about similar situations and you guys really need to start think about your clients!!
