BAD SERVICE AND VERY DISAPPOINTED

I write to advise you on my experience with STA Travel (Lauren Petersen).  My partner and I have been to STA Travel based at  the Mall of the South, the agents seemed very friendly and helpful.  After we have come to a decision we went back to make payment of a deposit, thereafter we started experiencing bad service. Holiday information : Booking Number : 149825 Destination : ****et Dates : 20th – 29th April Airline ***  The below is the following incidents we have experienced before our trip and while on holiday: -   ·         Upon our first meeting with Lauren, we were advised that we could change times of flights or stay at no cost as we were booking in advance, only to later find out, that was not possible without extra cost ·         Lauren would not respond to any emails or return calls ·         No one else would assist from STA travel and was advised to wait for Lauren to return to the offices ·         Very little information was given and not helpful ·         Lauren advised that we could not change our flights as there was no other flights and we just needed to handle the long lay overs     On holiday: ·         7.5 hours lay over at Doha airport – from Jhb  to ****et ·         when we checked in at the Hotel, we needed to pay 1000 baht deposit, we were not advised of same by Lauren ·         the hotel we stayed in for 7 nights was not a hotel but more like a hostel ·         that was the worst hotel I have ever lived in, toilet and shower in 1, no tub, when you use the toilet the  bathroom is wet due to open plan shower ·         we were advised that we will receive a full english buffet daily, that was not it ·         We have changed rooms 3 times, in the hope of moving to a decent bedroom ·         9.5 hours lay over at Doha – from ****et  to Jhb ·         Qatar could  not give us a room as was booked through an agent and there was other flights on the same day for earlier times. Lauren advised that there was no other times available   Conclusion ·         We have referred so many friends and family only to receive pathetic service ·         This should not be Lauren’s profession as she will ruin everyone’s holiday as she is not upskilled or fami**** with places, neither does she have the knowledge in responding to mails / questions ·         My partner and I have become ill due to the long lay overs (rashes and lumps), sleeping on chairs used by everyone else, spreading bacteria ·         STA should not be linking themselves to Hotels that they havent lived in or experienced before sending people on holiday ·         STA travel should employ people who are passionate about their job, fami**** with places, can answer questions and give useful information to their clients     I would appreciate if you could look into this and take action as I would hate for anyone else to have a horrible trip especially for first timers.
