Purchased a pair of ankle boots on Saturday specifically for driving and enquired with the sales assistance if there was any guarantee on the shoe as it was a Pierre Cardin. the lady advised that it all depends on how the shoe is worn. Tried being Monday i decided to try out my new driving boots unfortunately it was very uncomfortable around my ankle and held very tight which would make holding clutch control on steep inclines very difficult. So i sent my hubby with the boots to return them this morning. He later phoned me to say that the lady who attended to him was rather rude and refused to give us a refund as its against company policy but gave him a credit instead. Upon hearing this i felt rather cheated as usual retail stores advise or advertise their policies, and considering its a store that sells name brands and fairly expensive prices surely the normal 7 day return policy should be app****. Upon contacting the store telephonically i identified myself as the customer who's husband had just returned the boots. I enquired with the lady as to why the boots would not be refunded and got the same story about the company policy and advised me that the boots were not used or damaged and their so what nothing with their product it was my leg that was the problem. She was told i had tried on the boots instore and accepted to buy them so its not her problem that i do not like them now. I did tell her that i agree i tried them on but also advised the sale lady that i would only know at the point of driving if i was able to drive in them. i then enquired why we were not advised then off the no return policy, and this lady was so abrupt and then me that if i opened my eyes i would have seen a sign at the till point. I then asked her why she was being so rude and abrupt with me as i was the customer and she told me that i may be the customer but she has her rights too. For the next 5 minutes i could barely get 2 words off a sentence in, after much arguing i managed to get her name as S. Govender who most probably is the owner. She ended the call trying to have a screaming match with me and the only sentence i managed to get in was that she needed training on how to be courteous and the last words i heard her yell at me before i hung up was that shame she feels very sorry for people like me. Unfortunately i was at my place of work and could not afford to have my staff hear me have a go at her and it took everything in my will power to try and remain calm, humane and civil, unfortunately S. Govender owner or not, you are not super human, and you are certainly the most uneducated, ******** and uncoothe person i have ever came across. Its a pity that you have the mentality that you as a "business owner"
