Inadequate Service in Casualty Department(ST Rita's Regional Hospital)

formally report a deeply concerning experience regarding the service provided in the casualty department(ST Ritas Regional Hospital)Limpopo Province. The overall quality of care and coordination was far below acceptable standards, particularly considering the critical nature of emergencies and the vulnerability of pediatric patients.

During my recent visit, i encountered the following critical issues:

1. Excessive Waiting Time: Patients, including children in urgent need of medical attention, were left waiting for over 12 hours without adequate updates or intervention. Despite clear signs of distress in pediatric patients, there was no sense of urgency or prioritization to make matters worse there was only one bed available for pediatric patients. It shows lack of resources.

2. Extremely Poor Turnaround Time: The turnaround time for essential services, especially blood test results, was shockingly poor. Such delays in emergency situations can be detrimental, particularly when dealing with children.

3. Lack of Coordination: There was a clear breakdown in coordination between departments and staff members. This disorganization directly contributed to delays and confusion in patient handling.

4. Poor Hygiene Standards: The cleanliness of the hospital was substandard. The environment was not only uncomfortable but also posed potential health risks, especially for vulnerable patients.

This level of service is deeply concerning, especially in an emergency department where swift and efficient care is expected. I urge you to investigate these issues thoroughly and implement corrective measures immediately to ensure patient safety, dignity, and proper medical attention.
