Poor admin and account management lead to unnecessary stress and concern when my husband should be focused on getting well and better.

My husband recently went for a Varicocelectomy and block but when St Georges submitted the claim, they also claimed he had a Vasectomy which is not covered by our medical aid. We received a stunning R30,000 bill for a surgery that never took place. We queried this with Genesis medical aid, who after a week, said we HAVE to pay the money because despite the paper trail and confirmation that has been supp**** by the operating doctor, St Georges have said the Vasectomy took place. We have further supp**** imagery of the operation area, which is below his stomach and NOT his testicles, as well as photos of his hospital bands from the day of his op, taken prior to going into theatre. The medical procedure was confirmed verbally 4 times prior him going under, and was signed off via the admissions desk so HOW ON EARTH does this happen? Additionally, the operating doctor has rep**** to say a vasectomy DID NOT take place, yet, between Genesis and St George's hospital, the two insist that it did. This is poor account management, negligent and unnecessarily stressful.
