Complaint: Deposit taken for dishwasher repair – no service rendered and refund repeatedly promised but not paid

I logged a service request with SSQ Tech Appliance Repairs (Pty) Ltd on 10 December 2025 for a dishwasher drain pump replacement. The company issued quotation number ***7 for R2,180, and requested a 70% upfront deposit of R1,526, which I paid via EFT on the same day. I was informed that the repair would be completed within one week from payment. This did not occur. After payment, I had to continually follow up via calls and messages. Despite repeated contact, the service was never delivered, the part was never installed, and no realistic timeframe was provided. I have retained a full audit trail of communications. In late January 2026, I contacted the service provider again and advised that my trust had been lost due to continued non delivery. From that point onward, I was repeatedly promised that a refund would be paid, however these commitments have not been honoured, and no repayment has been received. Current status: • Service not rendered • Part not installed • Deposit not refunded I am currently out of pocket and still had to pay another service provider to repair the dishwasher at a far cheaper rate than SSQ Tech Repair (Pty) Ltd. I am sharing this experience to inform other consumers that they are not reliable, continuous lies without any service delivery
