SQZ Niezaam Begg,

It is with great concern that I share the troubling experience that several seniors, aged 70 years and older, have had with a builder named Niezaam Begg. After paying him over R500,000 for a small retirement space, he has taken advantage of their kindness and trust. He has vanished, blocked all communication, and left behind a series of unresolved issues that pose serious safety risks.

The situation includes a need for a galvanized safety gate for a senior with dementia, the installation of elderly handrails, incomplete building work, and various electrical problems. Most distressingly, they were left without hot water for weeks without any accountability from him. The list of issues is extensive, and we have initiated legal proceedings against him, having reported his actions. However, we understand that legal processes can take time.

Sadly, he has a history of similar behavior with other clients. He often leaves projects unfinished, disappears, and stops communicating.

Although I was hesitant to make this public, it feels unjust to let him get away with his actions. By sharing this information, I hope to raise awareness and protect others from experiencing the same mistreatment.
