CHILDREN REFUSED ACCESS INTO SPRINGVALE PRIMARY
My grandchildren have been attending Springvale Primary Grade R in the year 2015. The parents enrolled them into Grade 1 for next year when the applications opened. On Friday the 4th they received a letter from the school to say that they have bit been accepted in Grade 1 due to the fact that the parents have been unable to afford the registration fees for the twins. It has taken the school this length of time to announce that this was a criteria for re-entrance into the school, however they forget to understand that every child is entitled to an education in a public school no matter of the situation. These two little girls are being discriminated against because there young parents have financial difficulties and to top it all only the mother is working to support the family. Today they receive a report stating that they are going into the different classes Grade 1k and Grade 1 J when the parents approached the Admin they were told that they will not accept them into the school. I am furious that schools are able to make these decisions and use the children as the pawn in negotiations. ALL children no matter what are entitled to an education.
