Refusing to exchange shoes that have not been worn

I bought a pair of greencross slippers. I had to rush somewhere, I then paid and didn't fit them. When fitting them at home they were small. I took them back for exchange. I was told I cannot have an exchange or a refund since that is their policy. Explaining to Yonita that I had not worn the slippers but just fitted them with. I had a sock on and on a carpet. She told me the reasons for not accepting the slipper is for hygiene purposes. <br> By the way. She says I'm allowed to fit the shoe in the shop without a sock on a ceramic dirty floor. Secondly the shelve with the shoes are both clearly marked that there is no shoe exchange policy but the shelve with the slippers has no signage, which I believe aided in me not even seeing the signage, which Yonita insists is clearly visible. Should you require any photos to affirm the signage visibility I can gladly supply them.<br> I am actually not interested in having the slippers anymore. I will escalate this to Greencross that springbok imposes policies on their brand which has no holding. How can hygiene be the reason for not exchanging a shoe, when they themselves fail to provide the necessary components to ensure this cleanliness they ensur
