THINK TWICE before booking your car with SPRINGBOK PARKING, you may MISS YOUR FLIGTH!

THINK TWICE before booking your car with SPRINGBOK PARKING, you may MISS YOUR FLIGTH! I booked Springbok Parking to pick up my vehicle from the airport on Wednesday evening the 25th of September at 19:00, I had a flight to Cape Town at 20:00. I spoke to a woman called Zelda at 15:08 who asked me to WhatsApp her the details. I send a WhatsApp and she rep**** to confirm my pick up at 19:00 at Terminal B departures between the orange sign and turn. I arrived at exactly 19:00 with no one from Springbok Parking in sight. I tried getting hold of someone at Springbok Parking, both on the cell phone number and landline number provided, but no one answered. Mr. Parking’s personal helped me walk up and down Terminal B to find anyone from Springbok Parking without any luck. I did not want to leave my car as I was afraid it would be clamped. At about 19:25 I found another parking service to help me but by the time I reached bag drop at check-in the airline refused to let me on the flight. All the other airlines were fully booked for the evening and as I do not reside in Gauteng I was preparing for a 2 hour drive back home. I was lucky enough to find an airline that was willing to put me on standby for a flight at 21:25 and eventually I could get on this flight but at an additional cost of R1850.00, which I had no choice but to pay. I heard back from Springbok Parking for the first time at 19:57 via WhatsApp asking me why I gave my car to another parking service as I was booked with them. I informed Zelda that I missed my flight because of them – she did not respond until I contacted her again on the 31st of September. She told me that she is Meyer’s, the owner of Sprinkbok Parking’s, fiancé, that the booking was her mistake and that Meyer told her that she would have to reimburse me out of her own pocket. First she only wanted to repay me R1300 and then she offered to pay the full R1850 but in installments. This was not acceptable to me given the circumstances and I was astonished by how unprofessional Springbok continued to handle the situation. I then contacted Meyer directly on 1 October to discuss the situation with him. Meyer was arrogant and unapologetic and told me that I could send him the evidence and he would look into it. To date, I have not heard from Meyer. He is probably hunting caged lions somewhere… On Springbok’s website they state: “DONT (sic) WORRY…” and “TAKING CUSTOMER SERVICE TO THE NEXT LEVEL”. You should worry!!! I have used Mr. Parking, SU Parking and Executive Parking multiple times without any problems. This is the worst service I have ever received.
