Bad experience with Springbok Parking
I recently went to Cape Town for 4 days and had my vehicle being taken care of by Springbok Parking at OR Tambo. The collection didn`t go to bad although we had to wait about 10 minutes. On arrival I had to phone again and we waited again for about 15 minutes. My vehicle came and I did a quick inspection to find that my windscreen is cracked, there were empty bottles and paper bags in the vehicle and my E-Tag was gone, removed from the windscreen. I phoned the owner who told me that he will follow up with the relevant drivers and come back to me. This never happened and a day later I wrote him an e-mail stating my concerns. He again did not reply and I had to phone him again, he then said he will reply later that afternoon, which he also did not do. I eventually got a mail from him, see below: 1. The washers are instructed to only vacuum and wipe the dashboard inside the vehicle. Some people complain when we throw away empty bottles (plastic or glass) hence the reason they leave all bottles inside the vehicle. They also do not clean under the seats but only vacuum and wipe dashboard as stated above. 2. We cannot be held liable for any cracks on the windscreen. Sometimes the vehicles comes to us with a chip on the windscreen and it starts to crack. 3. I will find out from the washers if they saw an e-Tag in the vehicle. I highly doubt that anyone took the tag as it is of no monetary value. My vehicle is not even a month old and now I have to put in a claim to have the windscreen replaced. This response is totally unacceptable and I hereby want to warn the public to read the T&C carefully before making use of this vehicle parking service.
