SPREE IS PATHETIC COMPARED TO THEIR COMPETITORS: ZANDO AND TAKEALOT

I purchased an item at spree and it was too small so I registered it as a return and requested that it be collected. The return was logged 25 Nov, almost 2 weeks ago. I follow up a week after I logged it as to when I can expect them to pick it up, consultant advised that they have a backlog for delivery items due to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Reasonable response and accepted it as such!I am an avid on line shopper and frequently buy on Takealot and Zando too, so I had a Zando package which was also logged a as a return. Zando provided EXCELLENT service by acknowledging the return, sending me SMS to say when it will be collected, date time everything. Takealot does the SAME! Spree, however, rocks up randomly on Tuesday morning to collect package. Firstly, I was NOT informed so how was I supposed to know it was them? So what had happened is because ZANDO communicated so efficiently that they would be collecting on Tuesday, I informed my domestic worker, if a delivery guy comes please give him the Zando box with the 3 pages (which Zando requests print out of returns). Yes a ZANDO box!Clearly If SPREE communicated that they would be collecting on Tuesday I would have informed my domestic worker to CHECK if they are for Spree or Zando, she was none the wiser and neither was I!So clearly SPREE is at fault here for lack of communication on their side so they took my ZANDO package and refuse to deliver it without ME paying a levy of R100? for my own items? For their miscommunication?does that not sound ludicrous??!!! Then I get told by Jacinta that, oh well that package was given to the driver it not their fault and that it is not in their policy to inform clients when they will be collecting? Really? so what is you are not at home? does the drivers just drive up and down and clients just expected to sit all day at home and wait for Spree to come?! All other on line shopping ie Zando and Takealot tell you what date and even a time as to when you can expect them to collect!!!!

To add to this dilemma, to date, I have not had the best experience with Spree regarding their customer service, absolute no display of client centricity. To date, this year, I have already received two 25% vouchers as compensation for their putrid service, now this and yet they still refuse to accommodate me and refer to "policies". Do you not look at cases holistically, here is definite merit here!!!Pathetic to say the least and really want to take this further and escalate it to more senior management!!!!
