Sales a priority , Returns fustration capital

On the 27th October 2016, I logged a return, since item delivered was damaged, the item was collected by couriers and on the 2nd November, I called in to check if item has been received. I was advised that the parcel was going through quality checks and the refund would be processed shortly. Again I called yesterday to do follow up as I ha d not received my refund as I was advised the process of collection and the refund would take 10 days . To this day I still had not been refunded.

3 November I logged another return , and that return has not been picked to this day. On the call that I made I was told by Shanita that returns collection can take up to four days. I received a sms from Fed ex confirming that collection would be done today but no collection has taken place.

Whats fustrating is that, I have no way of tracking the progress on the return, other than having to call Spree and be told that we are still processing which in essence is a waste of my airtime. The tracker on their website or app does not get updated to show different stages of the return but strangely enough if its a sale, the information is updated regulary. It clearly shows that priority is getting a sale any problems you have thereafter are not relevant to them at all.

Hi Zethu

Our apologies for the delay in the process of your refund for the items returned back to Spree.

While every effort is made to ensure that all our processes are swift, we made encounter a delay when high volumes are processed.

We however can confirm that your refund for both returns has been processed today.

Again, our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Warm regards

The Spree team
