Returns/exchange nightmare at spree.co.za

This started from a simple purchase of a pair of sneakers. I paid and waited, they were delivered to a pargo point(a clicks near were i stay). I picked up the sneakers and to my surprise it was not the sneakers i ordered. That freaked me out, i went on the site to check the availability of what i bought and found that my size was not in stock anymore. I called spree regarding this and i was told that they will investigate, later they came back to me, with no answers but they could only tell me i must return the shoes for a refund. I returned these to the pargo point again and ordered another pair shoes as a birthday gift for my girlfriend.

The sneakers were dropped off at the pargo point on the 31st of march. Subsequently the shoes i ordered for my girlfriend arrived but we figured out we need one size bigger, i then again asked for an exchange this time and dropped off the shoes at the same pargo point on the 5th of April. And when i got to the pargo point i asked if the sneakers were picked and they said no.... as the app did show that nothing was picked up.

On the 10th i call spree again to find out what the hold up is with the collection of my packages, now two packages waiting at the pargo point. The lady on the phone outright told me that the pargo method of collection is that the packages must first pile up at the pick up point before they can be collected, and seeing that I am in soshanguve and i dont know many people who would be returning things through pargo and it means my items will be stuck there for weeks before collection. Still today, 12th of April; none of the 2 packages have been picked up as yet.

It seems spree claims to not have no control whatsoever over your packages once handed over to pargo and they explained to me that it is an outsourced service; so once they hand over it is basically not their problem anymore. I belive online stores will survive or die through their delivery and returns processes, and I have dealt with numerous online shops before; and their delivery and collection of returned goods was quick and painless. It seems with spree their only concern is getting something to you and if something is wrong with it, and in my case it was their fault...you will be out of luck because you will be waiting forever to get your items picked up.

I am very dissapointed with how this was handled and the bad sevice when it comes to returns. I probably cant do much now to fix my problem but the best I can do is warn everyone who will listen about the risk of dealing with spree in the event that they need to return things they have bought. Its clear that spree made to sure save every little cent where returns are involved.

If you will bother replying to this, please tell me how long will I have to wait to get my money back and my new pair of shoes. Once this is done; i will never buy anything ever again from spree nor will i recommend it to anyone else.
