Black Friday Hoax
On Black Friday, 24 November 2017 I placed an order for the following 3 items using Spree online:
1. Mid Calf utility Boots Brown Charlotte Russe Size 5 Original Price: R299 Marked down Price: R200 Black Friday Special Price : R149
2. Gigi Reguular Retro Flare Jeans Mid Blue ONLY Size 29 Original Price: R799 Marked down Price: R479 Black Friday Special Price : R160
3. Katie Dark Purple Boot Dolcis Size 5 Original Price: R1299 Marked down Price: R779 Black Friday Special Price : R260
So I placed my order (ORDER # ********** 99) and proceeded to check out my items as a warning appeared online to check out the goods as your order is not secured without checking it out. So I immediately checked out my items. I made the payment of R569 and i received a message stating that my items will be released from the warehouse once payment reflects. I sent the proof of payment to confirm payment was made.
On 28 November 2017 I received the following e-mail from the Spree Support team:
Hello, JANINE!
We have received confirmation of your EFT payment for your order # ********** 99. Thank you!
Your order has been sent to our warehouse, and you will receive an email as soon as your parcel is ready to be shipped.
We expect your order to be delivered by latest Monday, December 4th. We will keep you up to date on its progress. Please note, this order confirmation also serves as your tax invoice for this order.
Regards, The Spree Team
BUT almost immediately I received the below e-mail:
Hi Janine,
We know how much you were looking forward to receiving your order # ********** 99 , but unfortunately, due to stock issues at our warehouse, we aren't going to be able to deliver the following item(s):
Mid-calf Utility Boots Brown WO5D88O R149.00
Gigi Regular Retro Flare Jeans Mid Blue XS9183V R160.00 Katie Dark Purple 25X7E43 R260.00

I responded to the Spree Support team immediately informing them that I highly disappointed because at the time i placed my order and checked out my items there was sufficient stock levels. Following my numerous emails and phone calls to spree I still up until today have received no response. Not to mention tthe Mid Calf boot in Brown size 5 was advertised and available on Spree for R200 that very same week following Black Friday.
I am highly upset and would like the items I ordered and paid for, made available to me. I refuse to accept the weak explanation of stock levels being unavailable. Now they want to give my money back to me in store credit. I don't want store credit. I've now been charged for making he EFT payment as well so I have not only incurred the cost of paying for the items
