Sportsmans Warehouse bad service

We went to Sportsmans Warehouse, Eastrand Value Mall today to buy my son a new pair of Kookaburra Cricket shoes (spikes).

In the first place the salesman took about 15 minutes to locate the second shoe that was supposed to be in the no 6 box.

I asked the salesman if I can pay with Payjustnow and he had to go and ask somebody. He came back and said that I can only pay with it when I order online with my cellphone. I told him that I needed the shoes before tomorrow because my son is playing a match. He said it is fine, I must choose to pick up at the store and not delivery. I did just that, paid the first installment with Payjustnow and received my invoice via e-mail.

When I got to the till, the lady said I cannot take the shoes, they must first get a delivery at the store and then I must come and pick it up. I asked to speak to the manager, and she pointed to another lady at the till next to her and said that is the manager (who did not even pay attention to us). Then a young man came to us and said he is the manager. He was not very friendly and did not try to find a solution. The salesman gave us the wrong information and nobody even apologised or tried to help us. The staff must be trained properly and know what is going on in the store.

When we paid for the other stuff we wanted to buy and pay with my debit card, the lady wanted to scan the spikes again.

Now we have to go back to the store to pick up the shoes that is already there and we already paid from. We live in Delmas and my son now has to play his match tomorrow with regular tekkies.

If the procedure is correct as the manager kept on saying, then I wouldn't have minded, but the salesman gave the wrong information.

The so-called manager/s were not sympathetic to our problem and did not try to offer any solution or apology. I am very dissapointed.
