Sportsmans Warehouse
Sportsmans Warehouse adviertised a pair of Asics GT2000's at a R1 000 discount on their online store. The online shop displayed available stock up until you had to finalise the sale. I phone the online help line where after the lady I spoke to confirmed that there is no stock available online, but I can go to the Tygervalley branch as they have stock of the item and the shoes will be discounted at the same price the next day. I drove all the way to the store to be informed by the manager, Mike Priest, that the shoes will not be going on special and he is not going to give me R1 000 off his store. He was extremely rude and abrupt. He eventually got hold of the head office and simply gave the phone to me. He then disappeared. Edwena on the line from head office said she would see what she can do to help me and get back to me. I also gave a solution of paying for the shoes through the online store, and then collecting the shoes from the Tygervalley store, thus not affecting the Tygervalley GP, but this solution was also not considered. I was considering purchasing the size UK8 online (I initially wanted the size UK8.5) if they could not assist me. The shoes was still available on Thursday evening. On Friday morning at 08h00 Edwena phoned me back; simply told me they could not assist and further informed me that the only size now available is a UK4. Thus I am now not able to pursue this avenue either. I am extremely disappointed. It seems that Sportsmans Warehouse is not interested in customer service at all. I am writing this review as this is not the first time I have been disappointed with them in the last few years.
