Sportmanswarehouse cashier not trained in Vitality and causing my my paybacks.

I bought a Huawei watch at Sportmans Warehouse,Port Elizabeth on the 25th of September on Discovery Vitality`s promotion.I presented my code for discount as well as my Healthy Gear Card and although the cashier was thoroughly aware of me being a vitality client my Healthy Gear Card was never swiped resulting in me losing out on my paybacks from Discovery. It is NOT my responsibility to train the cashiers at SPORTSMANS WAREHOUSE and neither is it my responsibility to make sure that she does swipe my card after I had presented it to her.I need a solution to this as Discovery claims that I cannot get any paybacks as my card was never swiped. I am severely unhappy to say the least.
