Poor customer service
I've visited Sportsmans Warehouse in Centurion and received poor customer service each time. 2 weeks ago I wanted to buy a pair of running shoes there but needed to use the treadmill to see how they fair. The treadmill was not working. The staff member "helping" me had no interest in finding out when repairs would be done and seemed unbothered by the idea of losing a sale because of a treadmill not working. I left my number as He promised to call when it was fixed so I could try the shoes. No call was ever made. Consequently, I bought elsewhere. Another visit to collect Vitaliry running shirt. Staff members claimed no size medium was in stock, I asked them to check Fourways branch and they seemed unwilling as it was almost closing time. I left my number to be contacted with a size outcome. No call was made. Please note, I opted not to buy anything there again on that day as I could see everyone wanted to go home. My visit today, was to follow up on the tshirt as I was never called again and to get merchandise. Only to first be told no size was available and then to discover it was as the system shows it was available but never unpacked it seems. The lady assisting me left me standing for 10mins with no idea where she had gone to, only to return with tshirt and no apology. I chose not to buy my merchandise there today again. Retail stores are struggling enough to get foot traffic I to the shops and here is Sportsmans Warehouse with a Vitaliy deal that brings sports *****s to them and their staff completely and utterly fails them. Sportsman's warehouse is a specialty shop but let's face it, we aren't shopping there because prices are competitive. We shop there because we expect extra service that comes with speciality shops and your Centurion branch staff ff are clueless at the state of retail I'm sure. People have the option to shop online, at branded shoe stores, and other niche sports stores across Centurion. Kindly train people to catch a reality check about sales and clientcentric behavior.
