No service or back up plan at busy times

Went in store for running shoes. No assistants available. Waited by gait analysis machine. Nobody to help. No queueing system. Other customers were helped ahead of me while I am there in my socks. Eventually got on the machine. High arches. Was shown some shoes. Needed the left as well as the right. Waited another 15 minutes. Only one ladder. Staff in other parts of the store not very busy. Didn't buy the shoes.
