LIONS Jerseys WAY TOO SMALL - BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!

They simply do not take responsibility for selling undersized rugby jerseys. I have worn an (XL) Lions Rugby Jersey for the last 2 decades (20 yrs) and the cut and size has been consistent. Based on that (and with the looming URC Sharks vs Lions game in a couple of weeks in Durban), my friend and I thought we treat ourselves to a personalised jersey which Sportmans offered online. Upon receipt and R1,150.00 later for each jersey, I tried the jersey on and could not get my head through the neck piece. Both jerseys arrived at the same time and although both he and I could get our heads through the neck piece of the (L) Sharks supporters jersey, neither he nor I could do the same with the Lions Jersey. I contacted Sportmans Customer 'we-do-not' care via email to inform them of this and also provided photos that clearly showed a major size difference between the 2 jerseys. I subsequently decided to purchase a second lions XL jersey via their online store and once again the same result. Jersey was way too small. I ended up going to a store and tried to put an XL on and same problem - could not get my head through the neck piece. An employee at the Boksburg store confirmed that they had problems with particularly the Lions jerseys and many people had returned to exchange. I landed up purchasing a ***L (thats a triple XL !!!!!!) which fitted exactly the same as my former years XL jersey. Anyway, long story short, customer 'I-do-not-care-about-my-customers-because-we-are-right-and-they-are-wrong' service centre maintained that there was nothing wrong and different jerseys have different cuts. Fair enough, but if they know that, then they should disclose the jersey dimensions on their website so the consumer knows exactly what they are purchasing - at time of purchase, that info was not on the website, so in essence they are knowingly selling product that does not meet standard sizing for the South African consumer and in essence *********** the public - what's happened with the consumer protection act?? I can assure I am not the only one who has spent money to end up being duped by such scrupulous business ethics Makes total sense that Sportmans has less than a 50% confidence rating with the South African public.

BTW, I even offered to personally take my jersey to their warehouse team so as to see if a person of XL or even L status could get either one of the 2 jerseys I purchased over their heads. This suggestion of course fell on deaf ears further confirming that they internally know of the fault with the product. Shame on you Sportmans. Oh, and special shout out to Roxann Kleynhans, but more especially Candice Pieters - you are both apart of this - you should be ashamed of yourselves!! A big corporate that has no ethics whatsoever when it comes to looking after the people that feed their ***gy banks!

Oh, by the way, my reference #: 864659 You have a number of calls and many emails from me.

oh yes, I also completed the customer survey email that they sent me after the purchase.
Explained the same story. They didn't even bother to respond
Poor, poor, poor.
Waste of time, money and effort. I will not purchase a single thing from Sportmans and I will spread the word via all my avenues to express my feelings about the brand. It also reflect poorly on Lions Rugby Union, who will also be getting a copy of these posts and all my emails to Sportmans.
