Garmin watch GPS - Items missings

<p>I made a purchase at Canal Walk Sportsmans Warehouse And I would like to know if this is fair and legal ... I bought a Garmin Forerunner 910XT yesterday (03/02/2017) Salesperson then checked all packaging and contents with me, and confirmed that it is all there. I then got home and started setting up my watch to pair with my PC (The most vital feature of this device) I then discovered that the box did not include the USB Pairing Stick. It is listed as included on the outside of the box. I then called the branch and they apologized and said they will check the draws and get back to me. A few minutes later, they call back and the manager said unfortunately they lost the USB Pairing Stick in the store and I would need to buy a new USB Paring Stick, out of my own pocket. He went on to say that this device was on promotion, and that is why I did not get the USB Pairing Stick.</p> <p>My issue is, why did they not notify me as a paying customer that I am not getting the most vital piece of equipment with my watch? I cant use it for what it is intended to be used for without this piece of equipment. I do not want to return it because I paid for it expecting it to have all parts included. Is it maybe their policy to sell products in store which does not include all items? And then tell me, a paying customer, that you cant help me and I should go buy the missing parts myself?
