Canal walk / sportsmans poor sales staff and lack of stock

I went to Canal Walk with the intention of buying Cricket gear ie pads and gloves. I had my eye set on their MRF selection. When I got there , I realized that that a) there was no MRF stock on the floor as well as b) no sales assistants around. I was rather frustrated at the lack of help / sales assistants on the floor. In addition no one was actually able to advise me on what size fits me - I had to figure everything out myself.

When someone was able to " assist" me they gave me a half hearted excuse / response that the MRF gear was out of stock . I was then told by a second assistant that the MRF stock would only be available when cricket season starts.

Basically Im really annoyed that no one could give me a proper answer on stock availability and also really frustrated that "false advertising" is practiced.

The only reason why I purchased the kit that i did was because my parents were buying me the kit as a gift and were not keen on buying stuff online

Next time I purchase stuff I will be doing so online , really disappointed by lack of staff / staff knowledge as well as stock availabilty
