Bad returns Policy on faulty Equipment

Last weekend I bought my son a starter feild Hockey set, "Head Start" Sportsman's Warehouse house brand. (HE IS IN GRADE 2). He had one practice where they learnt how to push the ball to each other and how to stop the ball. My poor son had to use a spare adult stick from the coach as the bottom part of his stick broke all the way through the heel, face and toe. It broke due to the stick not having a solid structure the bottom had holes through the wood inside , which made it super weak. Sportsman's will not refund hockey sticks ever... stating they break due to the nature of the game even if you have physical evidence of the "House Product" being faulty and sub standard and that being the reason for the break. Maybe relook your policy especially pertaining to young children starter sets and maybe create quality goods for them instead of cheap badly manufactured equipment. I'm happy with the manager of the store super friendly and understanding but still could not avoid the policy about returns on hockey sticks.
