TFG online application process and the 2 clothing enquiry made by Sportscene for my one application and still declined my application.
I decided to apply for a clothing account to help build my credit profile and boost my credit score,i chose TFG and I did an onlice application with Sportscene on the 2nd.08.2020.After submitting my application...i received the below communication: Get ur SPORTSCENE card. Send a picture of ONLY 1 mnth's payslip or bank statement. Click https://l.ead.me/TFGFS to send on WhatsApp or email ***
Just after i received the above,i received an alert from Transunion(same day) TransUnion: Melinda, a Clothing enquiry was done on your credit report. To protect your info check your report on mytu.co.za
I sent my latest payslip via their whatsapp platorm and email,i kept on getting the same sms requesting me to send 1 month payslip.I kept on sending and also calls i explained that i have sent the required documents numerous times.
I later decides to send an email to their customer service and new account enquiry because i wanted my application to be finalised. They requested me to send the same doc and i did.
On the 21st of August,i received the below text: Dear MISS SANI, your SPORTSCENE (PTY) LTD acct application was declined. Why not open a Lay-by acct or join our FREE cash Reward program? Enquire in-store.
I accepted their decision even thought i wasnt sure what made them to decline after i was approach by so many clothing stores to open up a clothing account and even but didnt cause i wantes TFG group.
To my surprise i received an sms from Transunion on the 22nd of Aug,alerting me that a clothing enquiry was done on my profile.I sent an email to TFG customer care enquiring about this.It was explained to me that after they received my outstanding doc(payslip)they had to do another enquiry. This badly affects my credit profile as i'll look like a desperate indivual who made multiple application in one store within a month.I really regret applying for this account,it didnt serve the purpose instead it decreased my credit score. I always thought online application are most quicker than going to apply to the store. I am really not happy about the application process and the 2 enquiries made for one application
