Sportscene's staff incompetence is affecting my livelihood

I had been a Sportscene fan for the longest time enjoying the new trends in fashion and sneakers up until recently.

In November 2018, I attempted to get a new cellphone contract but suddenly it got rejected because I all of a sudden had a judgement against me. I soon traced it and found out it was the FCG Group magazines from my Sportscene account that were being delivered to my old address. This was not an issue, I realized I should have updated my new residential address and so I paid so I could clear the judgement. I then proceeded to ask to be assisted in attaining a paid up letter as I had not been contacted by any lawyers or anything regarding this judgement prior to that day, this is where my distaste with Sportscene began.

The lady at Sportscene (Randburg Square, Johannesburg Branch) contacted their customer service line of which I was then told it could take up to 7 business days to receive it, ignoring her rude and dismissive attitude towards me, I thanked her for her help and left.

I continued to go back to that Sportscene for 2 weeks to get an update as it was long past 7 business days and I still hadn't received the letter. This particular lady's service and efforts to assist me continued depreciating with every visit I made to the store. Eventually on my 3rd week visit, we made progress.

She discovered that between her and the customer service lady, they had written down an incorrect spelling of my email address (something they could have avoided had they cared about assisting me). I was then told to wait another 7 business days.

It is NOW end of February 2019 and I still HAVEN'T received the paid up letter!!! 7 Business days have turned to 3 months and still NOTHING.

Last week I decided to go back to the store to enquire. The rude lady who usually "assisted" me was not there, but alas, I arrived to a lady who seemed to have been working there longer than the other staff members and so one would have more faith in her right? Well, all I got was a stubborn lady who did not want to hear my story and frustration, she simply told me that they actually don't do paid up letters, the law firm that I was handed over to is supposed to call me (after I told her numerous times that I have never been contacted by a law firm prior to this incident and I had been dealing with other Sportscene staff members who have promised me this paid up letter for 3 months now). Now I do not know whether the staff do not know what they're doing, the system at Sportscene regarding this department is VERY faulty or they simply just don't care but I do know that that lady was not interested in trying to make sure I leave that store a happy, satisfied customer. She went on to say they'll email me the contact details of the law firm - I am still waiting!!!

My biggest frustration is how this is all reflecting on my credit. I cannot apply for ANYTHING, my business is suffering in progress and growth all because of this one judgment. A judgment I have paid and I simply cannot prove because Sportscene seem to care less about their customers.

For someone who is a social media influencer, actor, musician, fashionista and entertainment entrepreneur - Sportscene's mainstream target market - I am utterly disappointed.
