Sportscene *****s from customers

Last week Saturday I went to traderoute sportscene to purchase a sneaker for my daughters birthday. I mentioned to her that this is your gift and the cashier heard me. The sneaker was priced at r2000. The cashier noticed when I was about to pay that it's now marked at r1600. Instead of letting me know she decided to lie to me saying she is gifting me and my daughter each the sneaker wipes and sneaker leather cleaner. 1 each. I asked again that are u sure I'm not paying for this, she said no it's for u to sample try them so u can try them again. She then folded the slip and showed me rather r2000 I would pay. I was comfortable. She said happy birthday to my daughter then we left. I noticed the same day later on that the sneaker is actually r1600. This is theft. She said the cleaning products are free and I gave them to my brother to clean up my sneakers as I have a sneaker collection that I've purchased from them all these years. This is theft. I want that r400 returned to me. I will escalate this to the consumer protection ombudsman. I reported this and till to date foschini said someone would contact me. I was called by the manager who said if I don't want the sneaker to return it. He was not shocked at the cashiers behavior. This is clearly their way of making. I promise I will take this further same way as u would have had you found me *****ing from you. It's theft
