Sportscene is whack

I ordered a pair of sneakers on the 26th of May 2020 from Sportscene and up to today I was waiting for my order, The first time I called to enquire about my order the consultant advised me that I must call the couriering company and follow up with them, which annoyed me because I placed an order with Sportscene and not the couriering company nonetheless I called RTT couriers to follow up and I was told my order would be delivered last week Thursday and obviously It didn’t come I called Sportscene again and the consultant I spoke gave some lame story about having to source the shoes from somewhere else hence the order taking long (which was a lie) because the shoes were already with the courier.. Anyway (08/06/2020) I called the courier company to find out where my parcel is and then boom I’m all of a sudden told that the truck that had my parcel was hijacked and a I will be refunded! What I don’t understand is why Sportscene hasn’t called me to notify me of such and why wasn’t I given an option to choose if I wanted an refund or a new pair ???
