REQUESTING ID NUMBER IN ORDER TO MAKE A CREDIT CARD TRANSACTION

I am weary of Sportscene's staff and there bona fides:

I worry when staff ask me for my ID number, when attempting to purchase a discounted item. I was told it's a store policy and that it would allow for the discount. Yet, when I refused, I received the discount anyway? There may be some ******** behaviour in terms of staff cloning cards or utilising credit card details & ID numbers in order to de***** Sportscene's or Sandton City's customers. I will think twice before shopping from Sportscene again, as such, it is too *****.
