Refund on return

I purchased Nike shoes (R1800) on the 17 may 2020 for my son and did not want it but a different shoe which is R700 and the store did not want to refund me the difference 24 may 2020 and force me to take something in the store which I did not find and was told it is the new regulation that they do not give refund under covid-19 which they could not provide after I requested the copy of that regulation so that I could see what is the reason since I paid cash. I want the whole refund and not interested in buying anything anymore after that sloppy and poor customer service. Mokopane sportscene store.
