Poor Service resulted from pricing dispute

I am writing this as a result of poor service and shocking revalations from your store (Sportscene Eastgate), I went with my wife on the 16th of December looking to buy a Reebok sneaker, we arrived and couldn't find a size on the colour that she liked (Red) and we decided to leave, while leaving we saw a different lovely colour on display (Pink) and went back and looked at the display and it was her size and looked at the price they were the same, it was marked R1399 on the inside of the shoe. we took it with and were stopped to say we can ask for it as it was at the back and indeed we did that. Zakhele came and assisted us with the perfect fit. Then seeing that it was the last one he went and took the one we saw which was marked R1399, we got to the till and the price changed to R1499, we disputed the price and the cashier confirmed that yes the shoe is marked R1399 inside but the box and till show different price, she called some who came and clearly didnt want to get involved and instructed the cashier to call the guy who sold the shoes (Zakhele), he came saw the price and bluntly said to us we need to pay what the box says even though we saw the price on the shoe and he also sees the price, he said it was an off summer sale and it ended so they cant sell it with that price, I asked "as a customer I should pay what I saw and he agreed but said "Our policy does not allow", I requested him to call the manager and he again bluntly said even if he comes he wont give us at that price. He didn't want to call him and clearly our sale didn't matter to him, I am shocked that a company like sportscene is so rich that they willing to lose a customer and their sale for their mistake of R100 difference, it is not like I was asking for a discount, I was merely practicing my rights as a customer to pay the price that i saw on the shoe. R1400 may not may a difference to your takings and seeing that this is one customer it may also not mean anything to you as this is the attitude we were given, we decided to leave the shoe and go buy where people will appreciate our business, you have lost me as a customer and the rest of the people associated with me because we all believe in good customer service.

Reviewer Update
And i Know I am going to get a standard reply that looked like automated response for all complaints.... "We are sorry to hear that this is not what we want to hear, we have passed your details to the manager who will be in contact with you"

Good day Khensani

We’re so sorry to hear you had a bad experience in our store! This definitely isn’t what we want to hear, and we’ll be sure to address the issue to ensure this doesn’t happen again. We’ve passed your details on to the manager, who will get in touch with you directly.
