Nike Airforce Factory Fault

On 18 OCtober 2024 I bought my daughter Nike Airforce sneakers as a Christmas gift and she wore them on the 25th December and I noticed that they have a a factory fault on the flap(tounge)of a shoe,when she's walking the flap goes down until it disappears.She wore the shoes twice until today on the 21 January 25 decided to take them to Sportscene Rustenburg and they asked for receipt I told them it is lost the receipt but I can bring the bank statement.They said I can not be helped because I don't have a receipt.My questions is can't a bank statement serve as a proof of payment?
