On 8 August, my father went to Sportscene [Village Square Mall] to purchase a pair of slippers paid for with his store card. About 20 minutes after the purchase my father got an SMS saying that he has purchased for an amount of R600, the slippers were R100.

We returned to the store to enquire only to discover an employee of Sportscene has committed a ********** purchase using my father’s store card.

The manager set out to resolve to issue, however the entire store seemed to be in cahoots of this ********** activities. Up until today a case has not been opened by the store, an investigator from the TGF group called my father from a cellphone and blocked his number straight thereafter.

This seems suspicious and we decided we will report TGF and the said store to the police, FSCA, NCR and the ombudsman because the forging of my father’s signature, use of his store card to make purchases and the outright effort by the store manager to make it go away is ***** on the highest level.
