Bad service

I was denied to make a layby at the store they told me that i can only layby 2 or more items. I was not aware of such because I've always made layby's with the store. My last layby was made late last year of which it was also 1 item. The staff at the till told me that it's either i take 2 items or nothing with an attitude.
