Archive/Sportscene - ******* Service, Bad Communication, etc etc
I would like to express my disappointment at the horrid service i received from Archive Richards Bay from the "manager" and employee Siyanda.
I would also like to commend Mzee at Sportscene Capegate for his excellent efforts.
The Jordan 1 Satin released on Saturday 17 August at multiple locations. I went with my sister to try and get her and my brother a pair. Needless to say the ques were insane and were were unfortunately unable to secure even 1 pair of shoes.
I checked online and saw Archive in Richards Bay still had stock in store.
I called the manger the same day and he advised me that his 2nd in charge, Siyanda can definitely assist me and will send a sz6 and sz7 to the Capegate Store in Cape Town. I just need to go to the Capegate store and arrange it the following morning.
The next day i drove many kilometers and spoke to Mzee at Capegate who proceeded to speak to Siyanda who didnt even know where the shoes were or what they looked like. I spent so much airtime trying to speak to Siyanda and explain to him what the manager said. There was a lady at the store in Richards Bay who also worked the Saturday who was aware that Siyanda was supposed to book the shoes out to Capegate.
Siyanda then told Mzee the he already booked out the sz7 to Tygervalley mall for another lady but will send me a sz 5 and sz6. I then paid the (inter-branch transfer) IBT costs and proceeded on my way home.
Today, Tuesday the 20th I call Capegate to ask the status of the shoes. Mzee then told me he spoke to the guys at Richards Bay who then said they didn't book out any shoes.
They said their policy states they cannot book out new release and the shoes is sold out.
Now bear in mind i drove out a lot of petrol and made a ton of calls and already paid the transfer costs for the shoes and Richards Bay confirmed they are booking the shoes out but then did nothing of the sort.
What kind of people are you guys hiring? They out here wasting customers time and money. A lot of effort and money could've been saved had they told me upfront, however i am of the opinion that policy or not, they promised to send the shoes and they should've sent it out. If it was against policy they should've bared the grunt of that and not us as customers. This is the nonsense i experience time to time with this retail franchises. At the launch these horrible gangster looking people intimidated me and my sister basically forcing us out of the line. Why should customers be afraid to stand in line for a launch?
And then when we make alternative arrangements for the shoes, then store staff at Richards Bay do what they want to and don't honor agreements or arrangements. You as a brand and staff cannot hide behind policy as and wen it suits you and have no decency to even communicate to us that they not even sending the shoes.
I am extremely dissapointed and i will NEVER use this franchise ever again.
Train staff properly.
They are the reason customers are turning to other stores.
No contact from Richards Bay area manager. Thanks to the Cape Town team.
