SPORTS AND FITNESS GYM (ALBERTON) RIPPING US OFF

My son was a member at sport and fitness gym in Alberton. I signed a 3 year contract with them in 2018 towards the end of the year. The contract expired in 2021 around October. My son asked what was going to happen since the contract had expierd. He was told that the contract was going to be on a month to month basis unless we renew the contract ( 12 months or 3 years). We decided not to renew it as he was preparing to go to Pretoria in 2022. In March 2022, around the 15th, I went to the gym to cancel the month to month contract we were told about. I paid for March and April . In May and June they tried to deduct again unfortunately there were no funds. Around the 6th of July I then went to the gym office to find out why did they keep on deducting from my account. I was told I was in areas for May and June. I asked how do I become in areas when I have paid for March and April, they said I was serving a three months notice, I told them about the month to month contract I was told about, they said there is no such thing, I must pay the two months. At the time I did not have the R500 they said I must pay. Two weeks later (around the 22 July 2022) I went back to pay the R500.. I was told the money has increased to R1475, I was shocked I asked to speak to the manager the lady that was assisting me said she is busy and its actually the owner of the gym that gave her those figures. I asked for the break down of the R1475 the lady just said its because of the charges from the bank. I ended up paying that amount even though I felt my money was taken ********ly.
