Oh No Spore Spot!! So bad....
I had a really bad customer experience with Spore Spot. I ordered petri dishes as well as a Wine Cap syringe. There was a promo running on the website where I could pick an additional 3 syringes at R1 each! After 2 days of not hearing anything from Spore Spot I decided to contact their Whatsapp number listed on their website. I was met with a really bad tone from them asking why would something be wrong with the order... I explained that another order was placed with one of Spore Spot's competitors and email confirmation were sent with the order being delivered with courier in 2 days! And I mentioned perhaps it just takes longer for them as the order still has not been dispatched after 2 days. To this the person from Spore Spot started accusing the other mushroom supplier (one of Spore Spot's competitors) of copying their website, products and service promise. (What service promise? Your service is really really bad.) Spore Spot then called me "Mr O So Clever" and cancelled my order with a 2 to 10 day refund waiting period. The person from Spore Spot told me to take my business elsewhere by saying "Go get your free syringes somewhere else." If the free stock is such an issue why do you even offer it in the first place?
Theeee worst service and by far the worst attitude I have encountered in buying anything really. I would have liked to score this review a solid ZERO stars if it was not for the fact that I had to select one star to write the review.
For anyone reading this, rather steer clear from Spore Spot and place your order elsewhere with a company that actually finds customer service to be important.

Thank you for complaining, we obviously knew you would. So here is the full story. To be unbias and accurate we will also copy the communication directly and unedited.
Giving away things for less than the price of the container it comes in unfortunately will bring out the unsavoury bunch that doesn't appreciate the gesture. We will happily cancel and refund these orders.
Order was placed 2 days ago for 3 x R1 ZAR GIFT items for a total of R3, Petri dishes and an additional syringe. As always we enjoy giving away things for free, but there will always be those select few that attempt to spoil things for everyone including themselves by self-centred thinking. The customer agreed to the terms of service and was denied service by the cancellation of the order and refund after breaching these terms. A basic denial of service after complaining 2 days after order placement about the order not being sent yet. Complete disregard for processing time and those in line before him waiting patiently for their orders to be filled. Unfortunately, there are always those that demand more attention than required for perfectly satisfactory service. Dealing with these unnecessary issues *****s time from other deserving customers and unfortunately makes them wait longer for their packages to be filled. We would rather not serve you thanks.

We designed that too ;) Thanks, Johan, you are not welcome to use our service. We are happy to report that in 292 orders this individual is 1 of 4 orders that needed to cancel for either abuse of our free gifts offer or as here specifically being a pompous **** about the 2 day processing time there off.

Your "unedited" copy of our dialogue does not include my initial message to you and the name of the other company I bought from is also not the same as our original dialogue. But thank you for listing your side of the story. Other than that I think our dialogue, as listed by you, kind of proves the point I was trying to make in my first message. Bad attitude & bad service.

I am really disappointed... Your "unedited" copy of our dialogue does not include my initial message to you and the name of the other company I bought from is also not the same as our original dialogue. But thank you for listing your side of the story. Other than that I think our dialogue, as listed by you, kind of proves the point I was trying to make in my first message. Bad attitude & bad service.

Cause thanks, but we don't want you and unfortunately, it is our right to deny you service and free gifts. Thanks, hope you do find some respect and consideration for those who fill your orders online, in this case, your would've been largely free items. We are not betting on that though.
