Limo Hire Disaster

I am writing this as I feel bad management and service are unacceptable and when one complains or contacts a company they should respond or have the decency to acknowledge you as a client.

The company involved is Spiced Productions - I would never recommend them for any special occassions you may want to organise transport for, the management and client service is appauling to say the least. My story goes as follows:

My son recently had his matric dance. Part of the experience was for him and his friends to be picked up in a limo to take them to the dance. We found a company, Spiced Productions , the website looked great the limo we wanted was available (a pink limo was the order of the day, the boys wanted to stand out). We paid everything in full, everything was confirmed and we would confirm pick up times and addresses closer to the time. Great excitement the boys had what they wanted.

What a disaster this whole experience turned out to be. We had been communicating with Licia Milani of Spiced Productions and confirmed everything with her up until Friday 10 March (the day before the Dance), I communicated with her verbally and email, I had sent the travel sheet on Wednesday and confirmed on the Friday all was in order. I got a response of yes, all was in order for pick up from Victory Park at 16:30 (arrival) and 16:45 (departure).

I get a franctic call from my son at 16:50 that the limo has not arrived. I try calling the number (only a cell number available), after numerous calls both from my son and myself I eventually get a call back from Licia Milani of Spiced Productions. I explain the limo has not arrived, she asks is this the limo for Randburg?? The trip sheet clearly stated Victory Park. She then says the driver has been waiting since 14:00 - I am highly confused as I had clearly stated 16:30 for arrival. She then goes on to say I will send you the drivers phone number, you can call him to tell him where to go. WHY SHOULD I BE PHONING THE DRIVER, SURELY IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO SORT OUT THEIR OBVIOUS MISTAKE. By this time the time is now 17:10. I call the driver, give him the address (which he does not understand, we sms'd it to him). He got to the boys, IT WAS NOT A PINK LIMO (which was ordered) but a white limo with yellow lights down the side (very unclassy and the boys and their partners were squashed).

Not only did Spiced Productions get the whole brief wrong sending the driver to the wrong location and giving us a wrong limo, they turned the beginning of what should have been a wonderful experience for our boys into a stressful and awful experience.

I have written to Licia Milani of Spiced Productions (17 March) and to date I have not even had an aknowledgment of my correspondence to her, not even an apology for the inconvenience caused, NOTHING!!

I really do not like to slander people or things but I feel I have no choice to share this as people need to know that perhaps by going to this company you may not get the service required or the product ordered. We as consumers and honest believing people expect we are going to get what we paid for (these things do not come cheap and in today's environment most of us have to budget and plan for these things in advance).
