Speedaf is lowkey a **** or am I reaching?

My Shein package was being delivered through them. I got a WhatsApp message saying that the delivery was on its way and that they’ll need my ID number to action the delivery. I don’t share confidential information over WhatsApp (and I never had to with other logistics companies). When I refused they rep**** “we’ll note that you refuse to provide ID and we’ll see where the higher ups take it”. What does that mean?😂 It was giving **** too, like this interaction had red flags written all over it. Me then thinking they’re going to hold my package hostage, found the Speedaf contact info on their website and to no one surprise both contact numbers didn’t work. So by then I was convinced I was ****med. But then 2 minutes after failed attempts of calling, the delivery people delivered my package. I still don’t know why they needed my ID and what does “we’ll see where the higher ups take it “ mean. Just happy that I’ve got my package
