Inflated import duties with no evidence provided

After ordering an item from AliExpress, I received messages from Speedaf & Meili Logistics for customs duties and fees that are more than double the amount I paid for the item. Despite asking for a copy of the invoice or customs declaration, they kept sending me daily messages for a week before sending me an invoice, which shows customs fees and VAT based on a value three times the original purchase price. They claim they have no control over these calculations, as it is based on the values supp**** by the seller, but will not provide a copy of the customs declaration to substantiate this statement.
