Cuts corners when completing projects.

Company also known as synergystix

Our experience with Morne and Co has not been the best.

What initially was to be a two week job was completed in 1 week and after 6 months we soon realised it was completed in one week due to them not preparing and priming all the surfaces correctly. Our biggest issue is our roof, on which the roof was app**** directly, even after we specifically asked for it to be primed first. At present you can see that the paint is just peeling off and signs of moss and dirt is present underneath which shows that they did not wash down the tile roof beforehand. We experienced the same on the wall preparation, places that were filled were never sanded down, a few places were never even painted, let alone given a second coat of paint even if Morne was adament that was done. He also kept telling us that certain areas are hard to reach, but you are the professional and we are paying you for your labor due to it being hard and intensive. We asked multiple times that the guys use masking tape when cutting lines but that never happened. The guys also smashed all plants on the side of the house and Morne just shrugged and said it happens.

I reached out to complain that the paint on the roof and metal fencing is already peeling off after 6 months, and it took about another 6 months for him to come and do an inspection. We aren't able to claim warranty from the paint manufacturer as the preparation was not done according to their guidelines and Morne is adamant that it is the paints fault and cant be due to their skill as they have been doing this for years. But when paint started peeling off on three different surfaces and is painted with three paints from three different manufacturers, you can draw your own conclusion if it is the paint or the painters fault.

At present, Morne has changed his mind many times about how to fix it and in the end want us to pay for more labor to rectify it. He insists that other clients have not yet complained, but great for your other clients cause it is definitely not the same experience we received.

Morne would also mention that he remembers things being done when confronted, but he only dropped of the guys in the mornings and picked them up again in the afternoon and rarely did any inspections. I worked from home so I would know.

I would think twice about a retention fee if you want to use his services, as his 'warranty' on workmanship means absolutely nothing.
