not amedical aid company a butchery

This medical aid company treated me with no regards when i had an emergency slipped disc operation. the pain involved with this slipped disc is unbearable. its non stop as the nerves in the neck are being damaged by the disc. Whilst i was in pian the medical company let me wait 3 days for outhorisation. This just for a scan. After the scan i had to wait 2 days for the authorisation for the operation. When all was done i started getting bills from the hospital , the aneathatist and the doctor. I paid more that R20000 out of my own pocket for this operation. I have been with Spectramed for more than 13 years and the fact that i was paying normal or above average rates for top medical plan, spectra elite, i still never got the help i needed !iWhilst i was in agony i was treated as a number and with disregard to my pain and or agony. what would happen when a person has a heart attck.??or an accident? i dont want to take any chances with me or my loved ones. I have changed to Discovery ****cal aid. This is a warning to other people. !cancell now with spectra med. they are and have proven to be the worst medical aid.I also recievd unpaid bills due to me cancelling my contract !!! wow!
